Marionette theaters always had a big tradition in the Czech and Slovak Republics (formerly Czechoslovakia). The Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theater will have a performance in Manhattan. "The Republic or My Dinner with Socrates" is an adaptation of Plato’s Republic. This play is directed by a talented Vít Hořejš. You can read more about this play HERE and  HERE.
